Introducing Gold, Silver and Bronze distinctions for 2026

The Business Travel Awards Europe has always celebrated excellence across the business travel industry. For 2026, we're introducing a new awards format to better recognise the exceptional standard of this year's finalists.

Recognising more outstanding achievements

Given the strength and volume of entries received this year, categories may now be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze distinctions, replacing the previous format of a single winner with occasional highly commended entries.

The number of distinctions awarded will vary by category and will be determined through the final judging process, depending on the strength and depth of the field.

This approach reflects the outstanding quality of this year’s finalists and allows us to recognise more organisations that have demonstrated excellence, innovation and impact, while ensuring that every distinction awarded reflects the standards of the Business Travel Awards Europe.

How the distinctions are awarded

Where distinctions are awarded, Gold, Silver and Bronze will be determined by the average combined scores across both stages of the judging process.

The judging process itself remains unchanged. Every entry is independently assessed by our panel of expert judges, with the final distinctions based solely on overall performance throughout the judging process.
